UNPLUGGED: Mindful Movement & Self-Image
4-6 pm, Friday, March 15
Free with museum admission
https://denverartmuseum.org/programs/unplugged

Wind down your week in the galleries with Unplugged, a program that explores different ways to turn down the tempo and step into a state of relaxation, reflection, and calm. In March, enjoy mindful movement in Jordan Casteel: Returning the Gaze.

How do you see yourself? How do others see you?
With Jordan Casteel’s portraits as our inspiration, we'll explore these questions and our self-image through mindful movement sequences with Feldenkrais® practitioner Joan Pacos Jordan. These gentle, meditative movements are designed to connect body and mind, helping you perceive unknown aspects of yourself. You’ll never look at art, or yourself, the same way again.
Please wear comfortable clothing; yoga mats and chairs will be provided.

Neck & Shoulder Comfort

Offered through the University of Denver’s Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI, Age 50+).
4 weeks: Wednesdays, 1-2:15 pm, April 3-24
Shepherd of the Hills Chuch at 20th & Simms in Lakewood.

Contact me for information on how to sign up.

Through gentle, mindful movement explorations, you will uncover habitual postures and movements that contribute to tension and pain in your neck and shoulders. This mind/body approach will help you discover new alternatives to move better and feel better.  With improved awareness, daily activities like sitting at the computer, turning and reaching can be performed with less effort, stress, and strain.
